Do you love Heavy Metal Music? Do want to express that love to the masses? Well… here’s your opportunity! We Love Metal is currently looking for interns to fill positions in the company to get more metal to the masses and more people sharing their opinions on the music we love.
You don’t need to have experience as you will be working with experienced journalists who will help guide your writing and interviewing skills. You will have the opportunity to write about and often speak with some of the big names to whom you love to listen.
We will be upfront in the fact that the Intern positions have no pay associated with them, but there are perks! You will get all the music you can handle, learn to deal with media requests and promotional companies, receive exclusive passes to concerts in your area, and other opportunities that present themselves to music journalists. Plus, if you do good work for us we will provide you with a letter of recommendation so your future boss will know how awesome you are!
The positions we are looking to fill are:
Retro Reviewer – we are looking for someone to submit reviews from the days of the 70s and 80s. Of course you will be able to write reviews of more modern stuff as well, but your specialty will be the classics. This is something our readers have requested time and time again and we would love to have the right person in the role.
Extreme/Death/Black – you like your metal on the darker and louder side. Our following craves specialist that live and breath the loudest genre in the land. You can do all three or pick just one! We can work with your tastes.
Hard Rock Reviewer – this person would cover the stuff that’s not quite metal, but harder than the dreaded Nickelback. Clean lyrics and guitar solos mark this party music that has proven to be quite popular over the years on We Love Metal.
General Reviewer – in this role you would review whatever new metal is coming out right now!. Death, Core, Extreme, Hardcore, Folk, Sludge – you name it and it could end up in your mailbox. Our General Reviewers will be attending local concerts in their area to find new and upcoming bands that will make their future mark.
If you think you would like to fill one of these positions please contact Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss details.
