Another week gone by and it’s Daylight Savings weekend around here. Sadly we will gain more daylight and lose more darkness but hey now, as long as the metal continues to pour in, it’s never a dull time ever!

That’s right, and as a fan of the darkness and the night time as I am, it’s not fair we have to lose an hour of sleep! This is what metal is for, to get that anger and aggression out there, ya feel me? Seriously though, it’s another week around here, metal is always in the air, metal festivals are taking shape and form and are on their way of being announced. Metal albums are being announced week by week, I’m pretty stoked at what’s to come the rest of this year from personal favorites to other enticing metal treats.

That being said, we’ve got a handful of new names this week. First and foremost, starting the list are Swiss metallers, Rage of Lightwhom seem to know what they’re doing and are going in the right direction. Lots of presence, energy and professionalism in every which way, their track Mechanicals, will have you in awe and interest. Adding immense fuel to the metal fires, Any Given Daythough it’s been out for some time, the track and music video for their song, Arise, is by far heavier than I thought they would be. Elements of Djent and Extreme metal all come together to deliver chaos and terror, wow. But pressing the brakes ever so lightly, we keep things intense but on a more edgy and hard tenure with Year of the LocustThey sort of remind me of Theory of a Deadman meets Otherwise. Of course last but not least, it’s been a few weeks since we’ve gone to the Epic side, so worry not for from Belarus come Epic metallers, Alcyona for their will place their Enchantment on us all.

Be sure to tune in next week, for we will have many more new names to come! Stay Metal \m/
