Do you know that feeling when a song just speaks to you? From the 1st listen to the 10th listen it hits you the same way each and every time. That happened when I stumbled across Mudface today. This track “Hellfoot” from their soon to be released album “Bane of Existence” became my soundtrack of the weekend. When a band is this tight, and the track is this cool you know the album is something worth waiting around for. Sounds like “Song of the Week” material to me. See you on March 18th when this piece of metal beauty drops.

Formed in 2005 by Chris Dinsmore and Ted Aguilar (Death Angel), Mudface has released 2 Self-titled EP’S, and one full length album titled “ANTI” that was produced by Tim Narducci (Systematic, Spiral Arms). “ANTI” received Metal Radio airplay all over the world. The current lineup of Mudface came together as a band over time while crossing paths in the Bay Area Metal scene. Magnetized by their shared musical influences of icons like Megadeth, Death Angel, Testament, Nine Inch Nails and Iron Maiden, among others – One by one, they were all drawn into the Mudface universe. Lead vocalist Chris Dinsmore is the only original and founding member currently with the band. Keyboardist Brett Crane came on board in 2009; Rob Kolowitz and son Grant are one of the only Father/Son teams in Metal and joined the band in late 2012. Bassist Jim Pegram joined during the writing of “The Bane of Existence” in early 2015. Drummer Tim Davis joined in late 2015 after the album was recorded, and the band’s current lineup was solidified.
