Thaddeus Riordan-Vocals, Ross Brown - Guitar, Carl Stevens - Guitar, Jeremy Foret - Bass, Buck Andrus- Drums. These are the name of the people that make up Vermilion Whiskey. Is that an unusual way to start and article? Very much so. However, when listening to Vermilion Whiskey things are unusual. The band wears the Southern Stoner label, but really, they are classic rock influenced by heavy metal. The order of those words is important. These guys are a good ole' southern rock band that wears heavy metal on their sleeves. In a watered down market where everyone adds some classic riffs to their metal, the opposite approach absolutely rocks. I put the new album Spirit of Tradition on. I then had to pause it. Why? Because I needed a beer, louder speakers, and a photo album of my youth. What a great album for all of us that miss the riff! - Martell
