Interview: Pete Webber of Havok

The other day I had the chance to have a little chat on the phone with Pete Webber, the drummer of Havok. Havok recently released their third album Unnatural Selection and you can check out Harley’s review of it (I would probably give it a similar rating).

WLM Reviews: Diamond Plate – Pulse

Diamond Plate is one of the newer Retro-Thrash Metal bands populating the scene – sort of.  I say sort of, because they don’t employ the same essential elements of a lot of the other bands.  They seem to reach further back than most others and to some different influences as well.

Top 10 Tuesday: The Worshyp

It’s “Worshyp” time ladies and gentleman. This unsigned Canadian Thrash band has been a personal favorite of mine over the last few years and with the release of last year’s “Evil Abounds” my admiration for them grew more than Lars Ulrich’s bald spot.

WLM Review: Ramming Speed – Doomed To Destroy, Destined To Die

Before I start the review of Prosthetic Record’s Ramming Speed I just need to go through a quick check list to get my thoughts in order. 1 – Short energy filled songs filled with anger as influenced by Punk: CHECK!

WLM Reviews: Havok – Unnatural Selection

Hailing from my home state of Colorado, Havok has been a likeable band for me for a couple of years.  A member of the retro Thrash movement, the band never really blew me away, but has been consistent in the quality of their output – solid Heavy Metal in all respects.

Album Review: Megadeth – Super Collider

Megadeth, at the mention of that name you know it’s going to be good. You think to yourself “legendary”,you think about the staple they are in the metal industry, and have been for the past 25+ years.
