Lyric here! Hope everything’s well in the metal world for everyone… This week, I’m bringing you a local band by the name of On My Six, out of Rockford, IL. The band consists of Rick Soeprasetyo (vocals), Stu Kuhlman (bass), Josh Creviston (drums), Daniel Adams (guitar), and Lucas Dwyer (guitar).
I have done an about face on Pierce The Veil. When talk of the new album Misadventures came out I went as far as telling their publicist they “just weren’t my thing.” I did this of course before giving them the mandatory listens every artist deserves before forming an opinion.
Hey guys! Lyric here. This past weekend, I was able to attend one of the biggest, best benefit shows I have ever been honored to attend. 10 bands, 10 hours of music, for free. Doesn’t that sound like an amazing time?
You crazy bastards are always asking for more metalcore, so here you go! For the “Band of the Week” we are featuring Hollow Bones. This high energy act has managed to feature something on their self released album “Lionheart” that metalcore has lacked of late for me… emotion. Real lyrics with real meaning.
The term Death N Roll has always amused me. To be honest I don’t even know what it means. One of my favorite bands Death Valley Driver often gets associated with Death N Roll and I still don’t understand what the hell people are talking about.
Jamey Jasta is a metal star. In turn his band Hatebreed shares the same level of accolades. I have always had an immense amount of respect for Jasta’s ability to take things as they are, but never shy away from a conversation, or even confrontation.
