We have all been talking favorably for years now about Frontiers Records and their ability to revitalize the career of musicians that we all ask “whatever happened to?” Winger, Keel, Yes, the list goes on and on, but this latest clip were going to show you below might be the greatest find yet.
The band Beggars & Thieves are a throw back hard rock/glam act that have stuck with it through all these years and have released an excellent album in the November 29th release We Are the Brokenhearted. Consisting of most notably to me, Phil Soussan (who has played bass for Ozzy, Dio, and Vince Neil) and Bobby Borg (who manned the drum kit for similar act Warrant) Beggars & Thieves suffered the fate of many when grunge changed the game, but with Frontiers behind them I believe this album will get them back on track and able to cash in on the glam resurgence.
A good way to get in on that resurgence is give us something exciting and water cooler worthy. The official video for the song “We Come Undone” does just that with the appearance of many big names such as Ron Keel (who we interviewed awhile back) and most notably the hidden gem of the guitar strings: Jake E Lee.
Lee is the man that took over in Ozzy’s band after the tragic and music changing death of Randy Rhodes. Lee had major shoes to fill and did so admirably with major albums like Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin. Lee was also involved in other major acts like Badlands, Ratt, and Dio, but he will always be the man that took over for Rhodes during a very tough time and showed true class in tandem with his amazing guitar skill.
