Heavy Metal News Recap: August 17th

August 17, 2011

Here is the news sent to us today:

HARMS WAY:  Having already toured through the country most of the Summer with the likes of Xibalba, Foundation, Rotting Out and more, Chicago wrecking crew HARM’S WAY have just been confirmed to join The Acacia Strain, Terror and Stray From The Path on the upcoming God Damn Tour, set to stomp through the U.S. this fall. The brutal hardcore alliance kicks off late this October and will mangle its way through nearly 30 cities.

In response to the newly-announced venture, tour sponsor Hails & Horns Magazine is hosting a full album stream of HARM’S WAY’s recently-released sophomore full-length Isolation for one week, starting now. Get ready to bust some skulls, and check out the record http://www.hailsandhorns.com/featured/featured-stream-harms-way-isolation/

More news after the warp:

FETUS STENCH: Swedish death metallers FETUS STENCH have released the first installment of a video blog about the recording of their debut album, one the band states will be absolutely crushing. Watch it at www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcbYkUL2kkk. The album is targeted for an early 2012 release through Abyss Records.

ENTRENCH: Abyss Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of Inevitable Decay from old school Swedish thrashers ENTRENCH. The album is targeted for a late 2011 release with vinyl treatment coming from Sweden’s Blood Harvest Records. Right up the alley of Kreator and Slayer fans, ENTRENCH brings back real aggression and brutality to today’s thrash metal scene. Beware: This band will leave you with a bad case of whiplash. www.myspace.com/entrench

GORGOROTH: This Fall, Norwegian black metal overlords GORGOROTH will embark on their longest trek yet. Set to level over 30 cities throughout Europe, the unholy march, appropriately dubbed the Sign Of Hell Tour 2011, will coincide with the band’s upcoming re-release of Under The Sign Of Hell. Initially unleashed to unsuspecting ears in 1997, Under The Sign Of Hell was re-recorded last year at Tomas Asklund’s Monolith Studio with financial support by Bergen Kommune, and is scheduled for release on August 29, 2011 via Regain Records. Pest and Infernus repeat their roles as vocalist and guitarist/bassist, respectively, while Asklund takes a seat on the drum stool. Details of a new GORGOROTH offering to be announced in the coming weeks… Stay tuned. http://www.gorgoroth.info

That’s the news I love,
