Where in the Hell did Default go?
April 21, 2009

Guess what! I know! And I thought I'd add this blog to let you know! This awesome Canadian band founded by Chad Kroeger (vocalist of Canadian band Nickeback) was hitting the charts with "Wasting My Time", "Deny", "Live a Lie", "(Taking My) Life Away" among others, just seemed to drift away. They really didn't go far. They were trying to release their 4th album by summer/early fall of 2007, but the date was postponed to March 2008. Something terrible happened to them that jeopardized their career; their music label filed for bankruptcy that Feb 08. However, it was sold to The Orchard, which is an online independent music distributor that just happens to be the biggest in the world with offices in almost 30 countries! Sometimes things just happen for a reason even though times may be really tough and you think it's the end, hold on, there is a reason. Whether it be a learning experience, something to make you stronger or something that will lift you higher than you have ever been before. The new album "Still Standing" will be released this year and they are still standing. They appreciate the support and your ear to hear their new tunes. They are well known in Canada but not so much in the United States so maybe this should help boost their career and help them share their talent with the rest of the music lovers out there. There are people out there that Default's music will be heard for the first time and new fans will be born. For the rest of us that already enjoy their music, I look forward to the day we get to hear it and appreciate the pain they've been through. Way to go guys! Keep up the great work.

Play It Loud,
